The Super Constellation association unveils restored seats of the F-BGNJ. After several months of work by the SOV company on the upholstery, a new series of passenger seats has been received and installed in the central part of the plane. This new series of seats was accompanied by the making of white headrests by Pierrick's wife, which gives an even more remarkable effect to the whole. The renovation of the carpet and seats now allows the F-BGNJ to regain its splendor of the 1950s.

Super Constellations were known for their luxurious comfort, with very comfortable upholstery and dimmed lighting. The seats, reclining at 45 degrees, were equipped with individual ashtrays. Reading lamps, a service call bell added comfort to passengers. They could also enjoy a well-stocked bar and a hot meal served by uniformed flight attendants.

We thank our partners without whom this restoration would have been impossible: the Heritage Foundation, DRAC, the Pays de Loire Region, as well as the municipalities that support us: Nantes, Bouguenais, St-Aignan-de-Grandlieu.

Thanks to the efforts of the association, the F-BGNJ is now ready to welcome new passengers nostalgic for the golden age of aviation.
