Amicale du Super Constellation

WHO WE ARE

In 1997 the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nantes-Atlantique airport (west of France) bought the Super Constellation from Mr. Gaborit in order to save it from a most probable trip to the scrap yard. In 2000, a group of aviation enthusiasts decided to join forces and created an association with the objective of restoring the plane. "L'amicale of the Super Constellation" was born.

The main goal of the association is the preservation of the Locheed L-1049 C registered F-BRAD by restoring it under its original 1953 colours with "Parisian special" interior, just like when it was in service with Air France under the F-BGNJ registration.

The association now counts around 40 active members. It is moreover part of the AEROSCOPE, an association gathering several smaller associations with the objective of promoting aeronautic displays in western France.
